you are okay
We are made up of layers.
Layers of fat.
Layers of blood.
Layers of muscle, tissue, and bone.
Layers of life- experiences, habits, thoughts, and memories.
Some are obtrusive, hard, and bulbous.
They press up against you in an attempt to make you small, exert control, and snuff out your light.
Others are soft, gentle and inviting, beckoning you into their warm embrace.
In the end, both whittle down to the same substance- an added layer to your ever-growing shape.
The shape that exists within you and all around you, just outside the body.
It pulsates with light.
Ever present, all knowing, unchanged.
The inner most space, inner most shape.
The shape that makes you uniquely you.
A beauty to behold.
A wonder of both the unknown in an adventure yet to come, and a remembrance of what is and always has been.
You are all these things, my friend.
A multi-layered, multi-textured shape and space.
A thick substance of gooey light and magic dust.
You are okay.
You
Are
Okay.
